+++VERSION 3.1 CHANGES
** Stats now accurate with Warmaster Annual Lizardmen rules.

+++VERSION 3 CHANGES
** Correct Counter Size: Older sets printed each counter a bit too small. Version 3 corrects that oversight. However, make sure your printer's margins are set to 1/4" all around to insure proper printing. To print them to Version 2 size, set your printer's margins to 1/2" all around.
** Better photos. Some command counters also resized for better play.
** Added Slann Mage on Stegadon, plus corrected stats for some units.

+++WHY COUNTERS?
Because they can save you a lot of time and money, allowing you to play Warmaster long before you can finish painting even one stand! Even Rick Priestly in the Warmaster rule book suggests using homemade counters. Below are some instructions for printing then making the counters. I hope you enjoy using them as much as I have enjoyed creating them. -Bob Waller, June 9, 2002.

+++PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. All the counter sheets are in black & white and are saved as 72dpi (dots per inch) high-quality '.tif' files. You will need a decent program capable of printing such files at 72dpi.

2. Make sure your printer's resolution is set to 72dpi so your counters will print to their proper size. Or, if your printer allows it, set its dpi to its highest setting, then select the 'fit to sheet' option for a better image without any hastles. (This is the method that I use when I print to the laser printers I use at work, however there is always a 1/4" margin around the edges. Your method might vary.)

3. Print the sheets on decent-weight paper for best results.

+++MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS - my preferred method

1. Purchase the cheapest 1'x1' self-stick vinyl tiles you can find at your local hardware store. They run about 30 cents each or so.

2. Peel off the tile's protective film from the sticky side. Do not touch the sticky side!

3. Take a counter sheet and carefully lay it on the sticky side, making sure no creases or wrinkles form while smoothing it out. The sheet will be fixed forever on the tile.

4. Using a straight edge and hobby razor blade, carefully score the sheet and tile along the lines. I usually score the line again. But DO NOT cut through the tile.

5. Once scored, simply snap the tile along the line, folding the halves back upon each other. If you made a clean cut, the break should also be clean, though you can trim dinged pieces. I then fold the pieces back on each other and run the blade downward to cut the top tile part and cleanly separate the pieces.

6. You're done! It takes more to explain than do. I can cut up a 2000 point army in about 15 minutes. Just make sure that you have a good supply of razors because you will dull them quickly. Always use sharp blades. And always use perfectly flat tiles, otherwise you will be sorry. So safely store them!

7. One last tip. I use those hinged plastic "button boxes" from craft stores for my counter armies. These boxes have small compartments where I store each type of unit.

+++COUNTER STATS
Basic game stats for the units are from the trial rules in Warmaster Magazine. You can find the rules online at Games Workshop's website. A=Attack, H=Hits, S=Armor Save, C=Command Rating.

That does it. I hope you like the counters. If you discover that you like playing Lizardmen, why not buy some actual minis and begin your real WM army! The Lizardmen set is the best sculpted set available. Or try my other sets. Keep Warmaster alive.

God bless,
