Elf Griffon Ship

The Elves of Ulthuan have long been masters of the Seas of the Old World. Their many ships ply the sea-ways a control the waters for hundreds of miles around their continent. Their mighty fleets contain warships of all sizes and descriptions. Best known among these are the Hawk Ships, Eagles and dreaded Dragonships. Those who tread to close to the Elven waters may also face the might of the Griffon Ships. Squadrons of these ships lurk in the waters near the great citadels and fortresses of the elves. These ships have more punch then the traditional Hawk Ships, and may therefore roam more independently. They are crewed with fearsome Wardancers, and other masters of boarding actions. But their most fearsome weapons are the dreaded Griffon Claws, specialized bolt throwers, which fire a hail of small tethered, dart like arrows, at very close range. These blades ensnare the target ship, and horribly lacerate any exposed crewmen.
RULES
The following rules apply to the Elf Griffon Ship. All Man O' War game rules and Elf special rules apply unless otherwise stated.
MOVEMENT
Sail: 6" Griffon Ships may move twice during each battle phase, just like other Elf ships. They use the standard turning template.
COMBAT
Eagle Claws
The Griffon Ship has 2 Eagle Claws firing ahead and 1 Eagle Claw broadside.
SPECIAL RULES
Wardancers
The crew of a Griffon Ship includes an elite group of Wardancers. These allow the Griffon Ship to re-roll its die roll during each boarding action. If used, the second die roll must be taken.
Griffon Claws
The Griffon Ship also carries a battery of Griffon Claws firing ahead. The claws have a range of 3" and 2 dice rolls are made. If either result is a '6' then the targeted ship may only lose one crew counter per turn.

Griffon Ships are 300 points for a squadron of three ships.
DAMAGE LOCATIONS
2: Bow, two locations, Save 4+, Each hit destroys one forward Eagle Claw.
3: Midships, Save 4+, Broadside Eagle Claw destroyed.
4: Sail, two locations, Save 5+, Second hit reduces movement by 3". Further damage does not causes critical hits.
5: Sail, two locations, Save 5+, Second hit reduces movement by 3". Further damage does not causes critical hits.
6: Battle Tower, Save 4+, Griffon Claws destroyed.
Below Waterline: 2 Hits, Save 4+
